QMS provides quality visibility within the broker and independent distributor network.
Reliability and product quality is extremely important to you and your customers. With the movement of manufacturing
(and hence, component availability) to developing economies this has become increasingly difficult as you deal with
suppliers with whom you have little or infrequent interaction. Specialized online databases services are extremely
helpful in locating inventories, but a comprehensive database cataloging supplier quality
and part-level quality available within the independent distributor channel heretofore was non-existent.
How many times have you said, "This suppliers claims to have the parts, and has even sent me pictures, but can I
rely on them to deliver the goods?" Have you ever said, "How can I trust that these parts are authentic? Have other's
bought this part recently? What has been their experience?"
QMS provides a window into world-wide supplier community and a window into part-level quality on a global basis.

QMS's target audience is 3 primary communities with your brokerage firm
- Incoming Receiving: uses QMS throughout the day as the tool to -
- process incoming inspection activities
- communicate inspection pass/failure information within your organization and to your suppliers (via email)
- create and distribute RMA requests to you suppliers and within your organization
- Purchasing: uses QMS to evaluate Supplier Quality and Part Quality prior to supplier selection
- supplier reports, part-level reporting
- online counterfeit catalog
TopHow this works?
QMS is available to Registered Users.
Once registered, you begin by adding outstanding PO summary information. You receive supplier shipments against your open Purchase Orders.
Select the part type from the drop downs (IC, connector, switch, LCD) and enter the PO related information. |

Select the package type (if applicable) from the list of package type images. Finally, follow the Inspection Plan presented by QMS for the various packages. A "short form" and "long form" are available dependent on the level of inspection information you wish to collect.
You only need to supply information in the case of a failure. QMS keeps track of the failure quantities as you go. Optional comments can be added to the "failure" modes as shown on the right hand side of the screen.
QC can indicate FULL or PARTIAL LOT ACCEPTANCE, as well as FULL LOT REJECTION as a result of their inspection. Your Purchasing or Sales personnel can then decide how you wish to proceed on the RMA process (either requesting an RMA, or "holding off" for now and allowing you to contact your buyer for further instructions). |  |

Once you have supplier Quality data relative to that PO, just use the menus to navigate through the
system exploring the features of QMSDisti!!
